Nobody knows blues music better than the Washington Blues Society. And nobody knows brews better than the craft brewers of the Pacific Northwest. Put them together and you have the Retapped Brews and Blues Festival, a music-and-beer extravaganza that will take place on
May 11 in Richland’s John Dam Plaza. A solid lineup of other blues groups will begin entertaining at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.

You can taste the craft brews of your choice or sample wines from a Yakima vintner. More than 50 North-west breweries will be represented,

and a variety of food-truck offerings will be available at the site when you get the munchies.
The Retapped Brews and Blues Festival is the reimagined event that began years ago as the Untapped
Festival and was renamed when it was revived last year. This is also the second year that the event will be held in John Dam Plaza on

George Washington Way in Richland.

Also on tap is the Tri-Cities Craft Brew Challenge, with 27 breweries and taphouses competing for honors. Half of the proceeds of their beer sales will
go to charities of their choice.

Tickets are available in advance at brownpapertickets.com, and are $30 with no processing fees. They will be $35 after Friday, May 10.
You can also purchase tickets at the Clover Island Inn and the Ice Harbor Brewpub in Kennewick. and the Educated Cigar and Atomic Ale
Brewing in Richland.
Want to get in for free? You can volunteer to help with pouring, cleanup, and other chores. If interested, send email to volunteers@wablues.org.

Special rates on rooms are available at the Clover Island Inn in Kennewick.

Call the Clover Island Inn at (509) 586-0541 and ask for the Retapped Brews and Blues Package.

Organizers are also working on special arrangements with Uber for the drive to and from Richland.
You won’t have to wait until Saturday to get your “blues fix,” either. A Friday- night party will be held at the Whiskey River Bar, 775 Goethals Drive in
Richland, with the band Diego and the Detonators and Billy Stoops and Dirt Angel.

Retapped is a 21-and-over event, and
no minors, outside food or beverages,
or pets will be allowed in the park.
