[Seattle, WA] — [12/17/2024] – The Washington Nightlife and Music Association (WANMA) is proud to announce the launch of the first-ever Washington State Music Census. In an unprecedented effort, WANMA has partnered with the Washington Department of Commerce and the City of Seattle Office of Economic Development with support from King County Creative to gather data on the vast and diverse music ecosystem across the state. This comprehensive study aims to measure the economic, cultural, and social impact of music in Washington while identifying the needs and opportunities for growth within the industry.

The Washington State Music Census invites participation from musicians, venues, producers, technicians, educators, and anyone whose work intersects with the music industry. The data collected will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of music in Washington, informing policies, funding priorities, and community development efforts.
