The Officers of the Washington Blues Society would like to issue a giant THANK YOU to all who attended and all the volunteers and musicians for another successful Snohomish Blues Invasion.
In its tenth year, the Snohomish Blues Invasion is now one of the largest events we produce all year and is THE largest fundraiser towards the IBC fund. The Washington Blues Society is one of the few affiliates of the Blues Foundation in Memphis fortunate enough to have the member and community support to offer a substantial support prize to the winners of our regional International Blues Challenge competition. As a Society, we strive so offer airfare, hotel accommodations, and a daily food allowance to our entrants. This is only possible through a successful fundraising campaign that the community supports. Washington Blues Society has been well represented at the IBC’s in Memphis in the 35 years the competition has been running, boasting two championships and several finalists in each category. Once again we are confident the 2020 entrants; CD Woodbury group, Blue Moon Marquee and Brain Butler (indie album) will do the Northwest proud as our representatives.
